Gestalt Priciples

Law Of Closure: Blank white space that our eyes Fill in to give a sence of shape.

"Mark Hadely We Love You"

A man in my neighborhood that owns "Big Bens" was struggling with heart problems and unfortunately Had a heart attack and passed away.
His Son and Neighbors have been taking turns running the place while his wife is deciding what to do with the business and how to go about running such a store.
When I saw this sign it made me want to cry and Go buy as much food as I could possibly eat. His business is struggling because of the economy and unfortunately because of his death he has actually gained business.

Figure Ground Relationship

Highlights from the stage lights bring out the arms, hand, and heads of the crowd. The highlights show the outlines and even detail of the hair. Making a contrast form the yellow lit background and the Skin of the Fans Rocking out!!!!

Culture

When i saw this photo I couldnt help but laugh. Our culture has became very rushed and compact. You dont see pictures like this because its of everyday normal stuff. But because it depics normal everyday life it shows you our culture as a busy, rushed and Fast food lifestyle.

Color

This picture is a fun and great example of color, because its a high contrast photo between the organge background and black suite and wall art. I love the use of orange and how its became the subject of the photo.

Hard News

Car Extraction

Hard News

At around 10 o'clock a reporter for KCSG reponded to a car accident claiming a "Possible Fatal" for two victims. As I wrapped up the very end of our news cast I proceeded to find out what the status of the "Possible Fatal" was. I walk out the front door of the station only to see red and blue flashing lights coming from East Ridge Drive. Just above the Stripe mall. At first I was there to add my helpless reporter who decided that she was unable to opperate the camera and Gave up and waited in the car. I hurryed to the top of the hill anouncing myself as a KCSG Photog and claiming I was unable to find my reporter. (witch i was) But in doing so it gained me access to a front row seat to this car parked ontop of a boulder about 150 ft From the top of the road I was standing on. I havent witnessed anything like this before. And luckily I arived after paramedics took the victims to the hospital. After waiting around for about 10 minutes the crowd grew to large and an officer escorted us down the hill telling us to keep our distance. I was frustrated because I am a beginer at this whole PHOTOGRAPHY thing and I didnt get the greatest shots while I was close. so I ran back to my truck and retrieved my 75mm-300mm lens. This aloud me t be close but not to close. But unfortunatly I was very shacky in low light. But I managed to capture the story and give an update on the vehicles make and model to my reporter who LEFT and went home for the night. Long story short I was on the sene for about 2 hours taking pictures and gathering as much info as I could. But was only able to find out the make and model and that an additional car could possible be involved. I will be updating this story as I recieve more info.

Contrast

This Photo was a complete accident. I wish i was able to set and know for sure how and why this photo came out so perfect. I was out taking photos of the LDS Temple when i saw the opera house waterfall. The light was poor and very yellow, but I figured since I was able to take such good picture of the temple I would give it a try. I placed my camera on a rock because I didnt have a tripod and this is what I came out with!

Get the Glass

I felt that Get The Glass was a way to educate as well as entertain young and old audiences. I challenged my mother to play and tell me anything she learned from the game. She, as well as I never knew that drinking milk would help strangthen hair folicols. Get the Glass also entertained my 11 year old brother by the graphic design that he can relate to the Incredibles Movie. I was astounded by the graphics that an internet interactive game could have. Even on a slow conection the graphics and speed and over all quality of the game was fantastic. I would love to see more games like this one introduced to kids to help promote learning while having fun.

New Way To Think

Internet has changed the way colleges enroll, schedule, drop and add classes, and even the way students do some of there assignment. How would you feel if someone told you, you could work anywhere you wanted and get paid as if you were sitting in an office for 8 hours? Wouldnt that make you happy? I know it makes me happy. This theory of internet as a solution is just that, A theory. So test it! Try composing a blog page. Try posting pics and videos and even essays and assignments. You will find you can keep in touch with friends and family like never before. Thoughts? Feelings?
